EOC: what are the benefits vs. features

My product will have features of being made with real Peruvian yellow peppers and green peppers. fresh squeezed lime juice for each corn chip and corn made fresh from Peruvian corn. this chip will be spicy and go great with a cold drink. The benefits of my corn chip would be coronas and margaritas go great with this snack. this would be a snack for a Latin bar atmosphere or themed restaurant. I would say my snack will make you feel like your in a Lima  home with a fresh batch of Peruvian spaghetti.

social media when job hunting: week 5 EOC

Social media is not only a place where people from all over the world can socialize, but now it is a place where it can be used for job recruitment. Social networks have help so many people for those who are interested in finding a job. Social media/ networks have help many companies and employers as well."More companies are trying to tap Facebook Inc.'s 750-million-plus user base to find new employees, threatening traditional job boards and competing with LinkedIn Corp., which has dominated the online professional networking arena." (mailattachment.googleusercontent.com) Many companies have incorporated the social networks that are available all over the world into their companies. It seems that the social network, Facebook, has helped a few companies on recruiting jobs. These companies are being smart and they are allowing their company to grow and use social networks to help them on job recruitments. Although " Facebook's use as a job-recruitment tool remains small, but its appeal may be growing. Some recruiters say they have all but eliminated their spending on job boards, which can charge a few hundred dollars per job posting, depending on volume." (wsj.com) Some social networks are still small for helping companies recruit for jobs, but the numbers are certainly increasing. " Two-thirds of companies already use Facebook (FB) to find recruits using the site’s friend-finding search function, while 54 percent use Twitter to learn about potential candidates’ views and interests, according to a June survey of more than 1,000 HR professionals by recruiting software maker Jobvite." (http://www.businessweek.com) The world keeps changing with all of the technology that is around us. All of the social media and networks are being helpful not only for the public, but also for all of those companies that are in search of new employees. Social media like Facebook and Twitter have given many people the opportunity to find a job that they love, as well for companies to find those employees that they want.

SWOT

" The marketer should conduct a SWOT analysis, by which it evaluates the company’s overall strengths (S), weaknesses (W), opportunities (O), and threats (T)." (Marketing an Introduction, Armstrong /Kotler, p.55          My companies strengths would be finding and knowing what target demographic would buy my product as well as knowing how to advertise to them. My chips would also have a unique sense of spices that come together and taste amazing and will give a unique experience. my weaknesses would be trying to gear out my spicy chip flavors to those who do not prefer a chip with spiciness. my opportunities would be how to branch out and bring down the competition for other spicy food snacks on the shelves. my opportunities would be reaching out social media and making a interactive site where you could watch hilarious commercials and play games that would be intriguing to you. my threats would be the corporate chip companies selling similar spicy products." Opportunities are favorable factors or trends in the external environment that the company may be able to exploit to its advantage. " (Marketing an Introduction, Armstrong /Kotler, p.55) "Threats are unfavorable external factors or trends that may present challenges to performance." (Marketing an Introduction, Armstrong /Kotler, p.55)

Objective : Final Project

“The company needs to turn its mission into detailed supporting objectives for each level of management.” (Marketing an Introduction, Armstrong /Kotler, p.41) In order for a company to achieve and be more successful, it should have basic objectives. The objectives are the ideas that the company will be committed to deliver a great performance for its consumers.  The objectives that my Phileas and Fogg snack will have are to make it so any person could ave a tastey snack chip affordable and sold at the bar with a beer and or margarita.. These goals then become the company’s current marketing objectives.”  (Marketing an Introduction, Armstrong /Kotler, p.43) The objectives of the company are very important because it helps the company/ brand remembers what their goals and the things that they want to achieve as a brand.

Week 9: Mission statment

"mission statement is a statement of the organization’s purpose—what it wants to accomplish in the larger environment." (Marketing an Introduction, Armstrong /Kotler, p.39)
A mission statement is one of the most important descriptions that a company can have. It shows their potential competitors and their consumers what really matters to them as a company as well as what they want to accomplish. A mission statement is what the company wants to achieve, and what it truly believes. Just like there are different kinds of companies there are different kinds of mission statements. Some mission statements are long and some are short. I believe Google has a great mission statement.Google's mission statement isn’t something namby-pamby like “To be the world’s best search engine.” It’s “To organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful.” "(Marketing an Introduction, Armstrong /Kotler, p.41  my mission statement of my company would basically every customer has an experience of feeling as if they are in the Incan mountains. if a customer is not 100% happy with our brand we will allow a return.

Week 7 EOC: The Pitch

My Peruvian flavored chips would have some of the taste of spicy Peruvian peppers and lime to it. This chip would be flavored to be  a spicy with a margarita, or corona. This chip would have kind of a exotic feel. imagine your in the authentic Peruvian restaurant and you see different dishes made with peppers and spice. the vibe is a bunch of people drinking coronas watching the soccer game and you think wow what's that snack their eating. you walk up to taste it and the fiery taste would be good with a chilling beer or ice cold margarita. This chip would primarily be for the Latin community because its flavored with their spices but maybe even the American community because we do seem to adopt spicy things.

Week 4 EOC:Business to Business Marketing

Consumer and Business marketing have some similarities as well as some differences. There are several levels that might affect consumer buying behaviors. "Buying behavior is never simple, yet understanding it is the essential task of marketing management. Fist we explore the dynamics of the consumer market and the consumer buyer behavior." (Marketing an Introduction, P.136) There are many series of stages for business to think about before marketing to anyone. Then they can examine business markets and the business buyer process as well. The first step is the consumer buyer behavior which is "the buying behavior of final consumers—individuals and households that buy goods and services for personal consumption." (Marketing an Introduction, P.136) Certainly consumers are the ones who are targeted because they/we are the ones that buy the products and they/we are the ones who consume the products as well. All of the consumers in the nation are the ones who make up the consumer market. "The American consumer market consists of more than 300 million people who consume more than $14 trillion worth of goods and services each year, making it one of the most attractive consumer markets in the world. " (Marketing an Introduction, P.136) If you consume a product or good you are part of the consumer market. According to our marketing book, the world consumer market consists of more than 6.8 billion people who annually consumer about $70 trillion worth of goods as well as services. The exact definition for business buyer behavior is "the buying behavior of the organizations that buy goods and services for use in the production of other products and services or to resell or rent them to others at a profit." (Marketing an Introduction, P.157) The difference between consumer marketing and business marketing is the fact that consumer marketing is consumed by consumers, and business marketing are products that are marketed to the consumers. The business marketing people are the ones who make profit from the products that the consumers consume every day.

Final Project Week 8: The story

A silent bar where  I, Phineas Fogg sits and drinks my  fresh brew. Peruvian liquor seems to be the best with a hint of lime.  I look around to see the atmosphere of everything. I see a woman frustrated and looks in a need of help. Two thuggish men are pushing her around trying to force themselves to take her with them. I grabs a bite of MY Incan fire chips and walks toward them. I then punch one of the guys until he's cold knocked out. The other guy throws a bar stool at me and misses.  i began to catch fear. i grab  the damsel and runs out the bar with my bag of fiery chips in hand. The Peruvian beauty is caught and confused by what's going on. The thuggish man runs to them and I hop onto a llama and we are off. The man is behind us running fast as speed.  I then throws rocks at him hoping to stop him in his tracks. I keeps trying with the rocks.  It's not enough to stop this thug until they run into the rainforest and towards the edge of a cliff.  The girl panics and yells to me something in Spanish. Thinking quickly I, can either die off a cliff or die from this huge man. He then grabs a vine where he swings him and the beauty to safety and watches the thug fall into a waterfall.  The Peruvian beauty asked me ,my name and he tells her “Phineas Fogg.” After clutching it for so long I pull out a chip from the bag. Offering the beauty a piece of lime chili pepper jerky and she doesn’t accept and kisses me passionately.

week 4 EOC: business to business marketing

"Consumers make many buying decisions every day, and the buying decision is the focal point of the marketer’s effort. Most large companies research consumer buying decisions in great detail to answer questions about what consumers buy, where they buy, how and how much they buy, when they buy, and why they buy. Marketers can study actual consumer purchases to find out what they buy, where, and how much"
Consumer buying can be seen as what demographics fit where when you buy this product, what is the age range I'm going for, would woman or males buy my product, is this going to be reasonably priced. These things I would say are what makes a buyer different from a great buyer.
The different stages would be sub culture, culture and income. Also social can be one of these factors as well. Once way of getting culture involved would be the cover girl commercials and how they use Queen Latifah as a spokes model so they can outreach their African American demographic. This could trigger someone's mind and say hey, they have colors for my skin tone. This can be all making the whole demographics and what buyers do when carefully choosing a product. Is it going to offend someone. These are some of the factors that can affect a buyer.

EOC: WEEK 3 making money for good

One company I knows makes money for the good would be the burger chain of  In & Out. Their foundation would be known as the child abuse foundation.

The Child Abuse Foundation is supported primarily through donor contributions and internal fundraising activities sponsored by In-N-Out Burger. In addition, In-N-Out Burger pays all costs associated with the Foundation, so that every penny raised goes directly to help abused and neglected children.
Since 1984, In-N-Out Burger has been helping abused and neglected children. It is our way of giving something back to the communities where we live and do business. More importantly, it is a way of giving victims of abuse something they might not have...hope!
The In-N-Out Burger Foundation (the “Foundation”) was established in March 1995 as a nonprofit organization. The Child Abuse Foundation’s purpose is to assist children who have been victims of child abuse, and to prevent others from suffering a similar fate. The Child Abuse Foundation supports organizations that provide residential treatment, emergency shelter, foster care, and early intervention for children in need.

EOC week 2: Video game consoles

I have different views on where the game console thing are  be going, but in this blog post it will categorized.

Stars are the highest there is for the product and where it could be going. Cash Cows would be where they are heading for a slow decline in them. Question mark means we don't know where this stands it the marketing industry. Then the dogs mean they have come to their end in the industry. The article we read for reference was discussing how we would place each consul and new gaming device in their category.

The first consul would be  a Wii device. I believe this has reached its dog peak because the demand for active games has slowly declined and the games produced for this consul all seem to involve a Wii sport, Wii fit, o just anything to get your body active.

The PlayStation company may have reached their cash cow because they seem to be loosing their whole target or reach since the X Box company has been more involved in creating different games and they seem to have lost their demographic reach.

The X Box seems to be a cash cow as well. They have came out with their line of active games and we can see that going as nowhere. I think the true star in the this video game category would be the app games and everything involving cellular  games.

"While the videogame industry had hopes of posting double-digit revenue growth this year, analysts now

predict flat to 5% growth from $11 billion in 2008. Jesse Divnich, an analyst for Carlsbad, Calif.,

research firm Electronic Entertainment Design and Research, said he will "be happy if the industry

grows."

EOC: Great Customer Service

My idea on great customer service would be someone who is patient with you because not every woman can make up their mind on exactly they want or need from a store. The main Idea of what I look for when i go into a retailer is a smile. I cant stand for artificial smiles and a automatic hello. I want for it to sound genuine like your truly happy I'm in your Store. I usually notice that first when I'm walking into a store that the service provided is what allows me to stay in the store. Next would be hearing the deals and sales their offering with their products and what collection is out now in their store. When I ask more about the collection I would hope to receive more then just the typical, "this color looks good on you." I would like to know why did the company choose this color palate, what fabrics are in this collection, how would this range in size terms. These all would be typical questions someone who is interested in their clothing would ask. Then I would proceed to the dressing room with the options I have picked up from the clothing store. I would hope when I ask," if I can get a larger size." I wont just say sure its over there. but find one for me and direct me to it. These are all things I look forward in customer service great quality of information when they are promoting a product. Someone there with a friendly smile. A great sales technique to make me feel like I need the item they are selling.

Week 1 EOC: My Voice

My Name is Autumn Mae. I am A girl with big dreams and even bigger at becoming a go-getter. I have worked on 5 fashion shows and 4 photo-shoots. I have worked hard with my organization in involving Vegas in the fashion world. I believe in Fashion as an escape from everyone and everything. It is a way of expressing yourself through art but art in clothing. I created the idea fro pretty rich dolls because I wanted it to be for woman who want to be glamorous but with a edge
The main concept behind the clothing line is to have all those ladies who are hard working and badass not be afraid t show it. Pretty rich dolls is just one of the many ways I am for when it comes to my style. I think style should be different and never consistent. When people get stuck onto their style they forget that there is so much in this world besides their point of view. I am hoping I will change people’s ideas with that. I want to brig a different view to the fashion world. The view would be there is no right or wrong to style. Style I different among all of us. Pretty Rich dolls would be my first clothing line where that would happen. My second would be my girly vintage themed line Florals on my skirt. This would consist of more of feminine feel of fashion. I kind of call it coffee house fashion.  I hope to achieve all of tis in my successful dreams of a boutique and coffee cafĂ© where people can feel comfortable being chic, feminine, hard edged, and or just whatever style they aim for. Like Walt Disney said dreams do come true.  I shall make mine come true.
